photo Kristin Bevington, Alamo/Danville Camp Director
Kristin is excited to return for her second year as Camp Director and Founder of Alamo. She received her B.A. from Harvard University and her Teaching Credential from Alliant University, and is currently teaching middle school science at Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley.
v Vince Yorton, Belmont Camp Director
This is Vince’s fourth year with Camp Galileo. Vince received his B.A. in Liberal Studies Elementary Education and his Elementary Education Credential from Humboldt State University. He has been teaching for eight years at Junipero Serra Elementary school in Daly City.
photo Christina Guerra, Dublin/Pleasanton Camp Director
Christina is thrilled to move into the role of Camp Director and Founder of our Dublin site after three years as a Lead Art Instructor at Galileo in Fremont and Saratoga. She received her B.A. in Psychology at San Francisco State University, and her Master’s in Sociology from University of California, Santa Cruz, where she is currently pursuing her PhD. During the school year, Christina also works as a tutor and mentor for girls all over the Bay Area.
j Jason Singleton, El Cerrito Camp Director
Jason is looking forward to his third year as Camp Director and Founder of El Cerrito. He received his B.S. in Natural Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Averett University. He currently serves as the Head 7th & 8th grade Science Teacher at Town School for Boys in San Francisco.
y Yasmine Safinya-Davies, Fremont Camp Director
Yasi is excited to return for the third year as Camp Director and Founder of Fremont. She received her B.S. in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, and after college served in the Peace Corps in South America and as a founder for Habitat for Humanity. Yasi currently attends the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at the California School of Professional Psychology.
s Seth Muir, Hillsborough Camp Director
Seth is back for his second year at the helm of Hillsborough. Seth graduated with a B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is currently an Outdoor Adventure Guide for Absolute Adventure Groups in San Francisco. He also teaches Sailing and Boat Building with the  San Francisco Maritime National Park Association and is a substitute teacher at the Stuart Hall School for Boys.
photo Patrick Costelo, Lafayette Camp Director
Patrick returns for his third summer in Lafayette, and is thrilled to step into the role of Camp Director after previous roles as Senior Outdoor Lead Instructor and Lead Science Instructor. He received his B.S. in Environmental Science from McGill University in Montreal, and is currently working as Lead Naturalist at Camp Arroyo in Livermore.

Jacynth is excited to join the team in her first year as a Camp Director for Galileo. She received her teaching credential from San Francisco State University and is looking forward to starting a career as an elementary school teacher in the fall. Her love of working with children stems from her past experiences directing camps, student teaching and providing child care.

Marie Lewallen, Menlo Park Camp Director
Marie returns for her second year as Camp Director for Menlo Park, following a year as Kindergarten Lead Instructor at Belmont in 2006. She graduated from UC San Diego and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Painting and Drawing at California College of the Arts. She works for the Galileo team in the Home Office year-round, as the Recruiting Outreach Manager.

Jayashri is joining the Galileo team as the Founder of our Mill Valley location. She graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in Education, and has worked as a teacher, Outdoor Educator and, most recently, as the Dean of Students at a private school in Oakland.
Beth Sondel, Oakland Camp Director
This will be Beth’s third year as Camp Director & Founder of Oakland. She graduated with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from University of Wisconsin and earned a graduate degree in Education Policy from Harvard. She has worked for Teach for America and currently serves as a teacher coach in the San Francisco public schools.

Anne is extremely excited for her third summer with Galileo, and second as the Palo Alto Camp Director. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Math and her Single Subject Teaching Credential, and recently earned her Master’s in Administration from San Jose State. She currently teaches Algebra and Geometry at Del Mar High School.

Salina Lam, San Francisco Camp Director
Salina steps into the Camp Director role for the first time after two years as the Operations Coordinator in San Francisco. Salina earned a double B.A. in Community Studies and Sociology from UC Santa Cruz, and currently serves as the Site Director for the before- and after-school program at West Portal School for Growth & Learning Opportunities.

c Charlotte Tucker, San Jose/Almaden Director
This is Charlotte’s third year as Camp Director for Almaden Valley. After receiving a B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State, Charlotte spent two years at SCORE! Educational Centers directing the center in Menlo Park. She currently tutors students in math, helps provide tutors for families through TeamUp! Tutors and sings with the Symphony Silicon Valley Chorale.

Callie Rae Force, San Jose/Evergreen Camp Director
Callie is ready to kick off her second year as Camp Director for Evergreen. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Special Education from the University of Florida, and works in the Galileo recruiting department throughout the school year as Recruiting Outreach Manager.

Cait is excited to join the Galileo team as the founding director of the San Mateo site. She is currently pursuing her Master’s and Teaching Credential in Elementary Education from UC Berkeley, and holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. Before moving to the Bay Area, Cait taught environmental and outdoor science education at Yosemite Institute and Foothill Horizons Outdoor School.

Brad Korpalski, Saratoga Camp Director
Brad will be returning for his second year as Saratoga Camp Director, after kicking off his Camp Galileo career as Lead Science Instructor in 2006. Brad has a degree from Michigan State University and, during the school year, serves as a Senior Naturalist at Exploring New Horizons Outdoor School.

Greg Zillmer

Greg Zillmer, Sunnyvale Camp Director
2008 will be Greg’s fourth summer as Sunnyvale Camp Director. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Greg worked for four years at SCORE! Educational Centers as a Director and Personal Tutoring Instructor. He just completed his Master’s in Education from University of San Francisco and will be a full-time teacher in the fall.
