Voted "Best Camp for Kids" in Bay Area Parent for four consecutive years and "Best of the Bay" in San Francisco Magazine, Camp Galileo offers a place for staff to work, learn and grow in an environment of creativity and fun. With curriculum developed by experienced Galileo instructors, and LEAD Program training, we give staff the best tools and preparation for success — both for working at Galileo and beyond. Most importantly, working at Camp Galileo means working hands-on with kids in an environment where your impact will be felt daily!
Camp Galileo features three unique one-week sessions for all grade levels and runs for a total duration of 5-8 weeks, depending on the location. In each of these sessions, campers participate in art, science, and outdoor team building activities every day. Campers are divided by grade groups into teams of 10-16. Grade groups include: entering Kindergartners, 1st-2nd graders, and 3rd-5th graders. A Team Leader staff member is assigned to each group of 16 campers. This team remains together the entire week and rotates daily through art, science, and outdoor activities taught by Lead Instructors. Our camper to staff ratio never exceeds 8:1 and for kindergartners it's 6:1. See www.campgalileo.com for complete program details.
Camp Galileo is held at 19 Bay Area locations including Alamo, Belmont, Dublin, El Cerrito, Fremont, Hillsborough, Lafayette, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Mill Valley, Oakland, Palo Alto, San Francisco, San Jose (Almaden Valley & Evergreen), San Mateo, San Rafael, Saratoga, and Sunnyvale.
