{ Camp Director }

We are currently accepting applications for a Camp Director role at our San Rafael location (Marin County). Although we have hired our 2008 Camp Directors for all other locations, we are currently accepting applications from those interested in future openings as well. Please click the application link on the right to submit our online application.

Rewards of becoming a Camp Galileo Director
  • Positive impact on kids: Collectively, your staff will turn kids on to art and science, make new friends, have fun, and build confidence. Whether you are founding a new site or running a camp in its second or third year, you will be part of building something lasting in that community.
  • Leadership training: As Camp Director, you will lead a staff of exceptionally talented, fun, and friendly people. Together you will create something big and lasting. In five-eight short weeks, you can become an example that your staff members will never forget.
  • Professional development: Camp Directors will learn about grassroots marketing, staff selection and management, leadership, finance, curriculum, and effective instruction. Camp Directors are reviewed in June and August, ensuring the opportunity to learn from specific feedback, both positive and constructive.
  • Future opportunities: As Galileo Educational Services grows we're always looking for area managers, curriculum creators, and home office staff. Successful Camp Directors are likely candidates for such opportunities. Galileo also has an alumni network that can connect people with great opportunities.
  • Financial reward: A first year Camp Director earns $10,000-$13,000, an amount that could double or more over the subsequent two years depending on the growth of the program. Camp Galileo is unusual in that Camp Directors participate in the financial success of their camps.
